When you want to get rid of mice, you probably do not want to kill them. Well, it is true that mice are unsanitary, but they tend to spread disease more when they are dead. I know people who use traps with clamps and sticky sheets. But, what do you say about the mouse dying in a trap? They are still living beings, and a nice person like you probably does not find it the right way to deal with the mice problem. Yes, there is nothing right about putting those little creatures through that kind of pain. Most importantly, you obviously haven’t come here looking for this age-old method to get rid of mice. Even I won’t recommend this method. Need help then? Here we have some better ways to deal with mice problem.

The use of live traps is perhaps the best way to get rid of mice and rats in your house without killing them. In order to create this trap, you need a container, narrow, deep, and smooth-sided. The inside walls must be smooth without any scratches. If there are scratches on the sidewalls, it will help the mice to climb out. Once trapped, the mouse will try to leap out. Therefore, it is also important for you to make sure that the mouth of the container is not more than three inches in diameter. Now, get some smelly bait, such as cheese or peanut butter, and place the same at the bottom of the bucket. Now place a ramp up at the lip of the bucket so that the mice could easy access it. Once the mouse is trapped, you have to release it far from your house (or anybody’s house!). One mile of distance is good enough for this purpose. If you release them nearer, they are likely to move back in.

You may also try a “good bye” mint. The scent of peppermint extract is something that the mice hate. Therefore, a good way to get rid of mice is to sprinkle this extract around things that you want to protect from mice attack. This method always works.
Plugging in ultra sonic plug-ins can also be very helpful. These little devices emit noises that mice don’t like. In fact, the noise emitted by the ultra sonic plug-ins makes mice and rats quite uncomfortable. As a result, they have no other option but to leave your house.
